The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Movement (APM) has dissolved all executive structures of the party in Bauchi State from the ward to the state levels.

Following the dissolution, APM National Organising Secretary Hamza Akoshe Akuyam inaugurated a seven-man caretaker committee to oversee the party’s affairs in the state for a one-month transitional period.

He said that the caretaker committee was constituted to harmonise the party’s factions and conduct transparent congresses to elect new executives at the ward, local government and state levels within its one-month mandate.

According to him, the national leadership would communicate the dates for the congresses in due course.

Akoshe urged members of the committee to discharge their responsibilities with transparency, honesty and fairness, stressing that their conduct would determine the emergence of credible leaders to manage the party’s affairs ahead of the forthcoming elections.

He noted that most members of the committee were familiar with Bauchi State’s political dynamics and expressed confidence in their ability to carry out the assignment successfully.

The national organising secretary assured the committee of the national leadership’s support, urging its members to work towards reconciling the party’s factions and establishing a unified executive structure.

He charged the committee to ensure that the congresses were conducted in a transparent manner to promote unity and strengthen the party’s structures across the state.

The decision to dissolve the structures was ratified by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) during its meeting on Saturday.

The newly formed committee is tasked with harmonising existing party factions and conducting transparent congresses to elect new ward, local government, and state executives within one month.
