The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate for Bauchi State, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, has launched a ₦200 million bursary programme targeting students from the state enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

According to an official statement issued by Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam, the Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council, the initiative is funded entirely by redirecting a portion of the campaign donations received by the candidate from friends and well-wishers.

The campaign council stated that the primary objective of the program is to mitigate the financial challenges faced by students and to support their academic pursuits.

The statement outlined that the bursary forms part of a broader human development agenda by the candidate, which intends to focus on sectors including education, entrepreneurship, technology, agriculture, and artisanship.

The statement also noted that the initiative is intended to complement the ongoing educational interventions of the current Bauchi State administration under Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, referencing existing state schemes such as the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP).

Eligible Bauchi State students studying at any tertiary institution nationwide can apply for the bursary online through the designated application portal at https://kitescholar.ng/en/scholarships/.
