Honoured for Outstanding Commitment to Peace, Humanity and Development in Plateau State
Rev. Christopher Damcher, President of the Plateau Civil Society Organizations Forum and Executive Director of RhodaPomak Centre for Development and Empowerment, has been honoured with a Humanitarian Service Award by the ATJODA HOPE FOUNDATION, Jos.
The award recognises Rev. Damcher’s outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment to humanity, peacebuilding and conflict resolution in Mangu LGA and across Plateau State.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mrs. Josephine Dayilim, Sarauniyar Mangu and Founder of the Foundation, said the event was organised to empower widows and recognise deserving personalities in Mangu LGA for their service to humanity.
The highlight of the event was the empowerment of 200 widows, with each beneficiary receiving a bag of rice and cash support to enable them to start or strengthen small businesses.
Rev. Damcher remains a leading voice in Plateau State, advocating for peace, justice and the wellbeing of vulnerable communities.
His doggedness and commitment to the peace and development of Plateau State have continued to earn him recognition and the support of citizens committed to the advancement of the state.
