As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Barr. Seyilnen Gonten Luzu of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has appointed Mr. Joshua Dauda Musa as the Director-General of his campaign for the Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency seat in Plateau State.
Luzu announced the appointment on Friday during the unveiling of his Grassroots Support/Contact Office at Little Rayfield, Jos, where he also presented the appointment letter to Musa.
Musa, who hails from Dengi Ward in Kanam Local Government Area, is expected to coordinate the campaign activities of the Seyilnen Luzu 2027 movement across the three local government areas that make up the PKK Federal Constituency.
Speaking at the event, Luzu said the appointment was necessary to enable the campaign team to commence work immediately, stressing that there was a lot to be done ahead of the 2027 elections.
He explained that the formal inauguration of the campaign Director-General and coordinators from Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam LGAs would take place soon in Pankshin.
According to him, the campaign office would be located in Pankshin, but the appointment of the Director-General had to be made immediately to allow him to resume work without further delay.
Luzu said the political journey towards 2027 required early preparation, grassroots mobilisation and effective coordination, noting that “time is not on our side” and that there was much work to be accomplished.
He expressed confidence that the appointment of Musa would strengthen the campaign structure and enhance its engagement with supporters and stakeholders across the constituency.
Responding, Musa thanked Hon. Seyilnen Luzu for the confidence reposed in him and for giving him the opportunity to serve as the campaign Director-General.
He pledged to contribute his experience and energy towards advancing the objectives of the movement and ensuring effective coordination of its activities across the PKK constituency.
Musa is to serve as Director-General of the ADALCI 2027 Movement for Seyilnen for PKK ’27, which is expected to drive grassroots mobilisation and support for Luzu ahead of the 2027 election.
The appointment comes as political activities intensify across Plateau State, with aspirants and political groups increasingly establishing campaign structures and mobilising support ahead of the 2027 polls.
The PKK Federal Constituency comprises Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Local Government Areas and remains one of the key political constituencies in Plateau State.
Luzu’s campaign team is expected to unveil and inaugurate its wider campaign structure, including coordinators from the three LGAs, at a formal ceremony in Pankshin in the coming days.
