Jos East Council Staff Charged on Professionalism 

Members of the forth estate of the realm, Jos East Local Government Council have been tasked to improve on the etiquette of their profession.

Information Officer of Jos East, Magit, Yusufu Haruna said the Director, Social Services, David Mancha gave the task during a routine interface with the Information Staff of the council at the Chairman’s Conference Hall, Angwere on Tuesday.

Mancha stressed that the meeting became necessary to update knowledge of the men of the pen profession to enable staff curb with the challenges of the evolving technology where the social media is competing with the conventional media practitioners.

The Director, while commending the effort of the Information Staff for moving a step forward in terms of understanding of their basic rudiments however, said challenges of work are unending and staff must imbibe the spirit of self-development.

Responding, Acting head of Information Section of the Council, Sabarka Bawul who appreciated the Director for sparing time out of his tight schedules to update their knowledge, pledged to close ranks with her co workers for optimal performance.

Contributing, Yusufu Haruna Magit and Bulus Atang among others unveiled that the Information Section which is the driving force of the Council has so many challenges working tools, adding departments with programmes should notify the unit in good time while soliciting the Director to salvage the situation through further synergy with the principal and Management of the Council.
