Shalom Youth Development Initiative in collaboration with ServeNow has launched a discipleship material on prayer with the aim of building the spiritual lives of the youth in the society.
Mr. Alexander Enoch the country organizer of ServeNow in Nigeria who introduced the material titled: ‘Basic things you Need to Know about Prayer’ emphasized the importance of prayer in the life of a Christian.
According to him prayer is the breath and life wire of every believer as it open doors of great favours and grants them grace to overcome life challenges. He went on to give testimony of how prayer has shaped his life and has sustained him through all the challenges of life.
He went on to talk about other books in the basic series which is produced by the Colorado based organization, ServeNow. They include: Basic things you need to know about the Bible, Jesus and others.
He encouraged the youth to take time and study the material and share their testimonies with others on the platform.
The Executive Director, Shalom Youth Development Initiative (SYDI), Mr. Hezekiah Panye in his speech narrated the focus of their organization which according to him is to build the capacity of the young people economically, morally, spiritually and socially.
He said their partnership with ServeNow under the leadership of Lars B. Dunberg started in 2020 courtesy the Nigerian Coordinator, Coach Enoch Alexander. And since then they have treated three of the basic series with testimonies from the youth who participated in the program.
Meanwhile, two people shared their testimonies on the previous series studied which is ‘The Basic Things You Need to Know about the Bible’ and it was encouraging.
