
Some stakeholders in Lafia local government area, the Nasarawa state capital, have agreed to support the aspiration of former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu for governor come 2027.
They made their position known during an endorsement gathering for Lafia local government area held at Ta’al Conference Hall in Lafia.
In his welcome remarks at the event, Chairman of the occasion and former Vice Chancellor Nasarawa state University Keffi, Professor Muhammad Akaro Mainoma noted that the former inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu has the capacity and ability to govern the state as he has served the entire country diligently.
He explained that if Adamu is given the opportunity, he will impact positively through provision of social amenities as well as enhance the security of lives and properties of the citizenry, describing the former Police Boss as a man of ability.

Professor Mainoma assured him that the stakeholders from Lafia local government decided to endorse him because they know he can do better if given the mandate come 2027.
Also Guest speaker at the event, Barrister Musa Hussini said the former inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu has served both local and international communities with the experience gathered will take Nasarawa state to a greater height by adopting good governance cutting across the state irrespective of tribal, religious and political affiliations for the development of Nasarawa state.

In his remarks, the former inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu explained that he has agreed to accept the clarion call from the people of the state to contest for the seat of governor come 2027.
The former IGP equally noted that he agreed to contest after wide consultations from the stakeholders cutting across all tribes, calling on his supporters to start consultations from house to house to achieve the target objectives.
He appreciated the organizers of the event, especially the stakeholders for endorsing him as their sole candidate in the next elections in the country.
