
Mr. Onuorah Nwachuckwu, the Nasarawa State Curator of the National Gallery of Arts, has urged parents and authorities to prioritize the welfare of children in order to improve on their standard of living.
Nwachuckwu made the call on Monday in an event to mark the International Children’s Day at Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad Federal Secretariat in Lafia on Monday.
The Curator underscored the event’s purpose of uncovering hidden talents for the benefit of the nation.
The Nasarawa State Curator said that children are special gift from God, hence the need for parents to prioritize their welfare.
” I urge parents and authorities to prioritize the welfare of children in order to improve on their standard of living and to enable them to make substantial contributions to nation building,” he said.

He also said that creativity is the essence that adds beauty and functionality to the world.
The Curator said that the vision of the National Gallery of Arts was to harness the artistic creativity of Nigerian children for overall development of the country.
He acknowledged the support of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to the agency in the state.
It would be reported that one of the highlights of the event was the impressive display of artworks to the children by the National Gallery of Arts, showcasing creativity and imagination.

In a display of talent, pupils and students gathered at the Federal Secretariat to captivate their parents with performances ranging from drama, dance, and poetry to presentations on entrepreneurship.
The event was put together to mark the International Children’s Day, an initiative established by the United Nations General Assembly to foster global togetherness, raise awareness among children worldwide, and enhance their well-being.
