
The former Governor of Nasarawa State and Senator representing Nasarawa South in the red chamber, Sen. Tanko Al-Makura has deny report making round of his plan defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC to New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.
Al-Makura was a frontline contestant for the position of the National Chairman of the ruling party but lost it out to President Buhari’s preferred candidate, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu also a Senator representing Nasarawa West and former Governor of the same state at the recent National convention of the the party.

In a statement by his Press Secretary, Mr. Danjuma Joseph, the Senator described as fake news from the pit of hell and call on the general public to disregard the news.
The statement with a caption “Senator Al-Makura Is Not Leaving APC”, said the fake news came from a social media platform called “Nasarawa Info-Pedia’, with the caption “Breaking News:
Distinguish Sen. Tanko Al-Makura, is set to dump APC for NNPP Allah Sarki”
The statement added that, “This news is fake from the pit of hell and the figment of imagination of rumour mongers who peddles wrong information around.
“Senator Al-Makura, was a founding member of CPC who later became APC, where he became governor and now Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“He is still in APC and has never contemplated leaving the party for any reason. Infact he’s re-contesting the current seat he’s occupying under APC.
“We call on the general public to disregard this mischievous news please” the statement read.
