
Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker, Yakubu Sanda, has console the family of late Statistician General of the Federation over his demised last week.
The Speaker who visited the family of the deceased at their Apo Legislative Quarters Abuja on Monday, described the late Statistician General of the Federation, Dr Simon Harry, as an embodiment of humility and professional per excellent.

Sanda noted that they shared lots of dreams and plans with the late Statistician General, during the 2022 annual Buji Cultural festival tagged REMEZE, where they discussed the need to unit the people of Pengana to contributes their quota in the development of Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Speaker noted that, Plateau State has loss an illustrious son and admonished the family to accept the loss as the will of God.
He used the opportunity to extend the condolences of members and staff of the Plateau State House of Assembly, saying they all share in the grieve and prayed God to comfort the family in a special way.
Responding on behalf of the family, elder brother of the deceased who is the President, Northern Nigeria Union Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church and Pro-chancellor of Babcock University, Pastor Yohanna Harry, expressed delight over the visit, saying the family are encouraged.
He noted that, though the death of his younger brother is painful, they accept it as the will of God and solicited continued prayers for the family he left behind.
The Board Chairman, Nigeria Bureau for Statistics Dr Kabiru Nakaura, who was also in the house, said the demised of Dr Simon Harry, is a huge loss not only to the bureau but the nation at large, considering his wealth of experience and passion for the growth and development of the bureau.
Dr Nakaura, noted that, late Dr Simon Harry’s short stayed in office witnessed a lot of transformation and initiative that is worthy of emulation, saying the bureau has indeed loss a professional and a fine gentleman.
The Speaker was accompanied to the visit by the Permanent Secretary Policy and General Administration Cabinet office, Jos, Mr Ishaya Turba and his Legislative Aides.
