The Senator representing Plateau North at the National Assembly, Senator Istifanus Gyang has welcome the verdict of Court that reinstated Rt. Hon Abok Ayuba as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
In a statement by his senior legislative aide Daniel Dem, the Senator holds that the judgement is a triumph for the rule of law and common sense.
“The Senator says the verdict has vindicated Rt. Hon Abok and restored the dignity of the state Assembly from Executive tyranny and reckless legislative partisanship.
“It would be recalled that at the onset of the illegal and unconstitutional impeachment of Speaker Abok, Senator Gyang brought the matter before the Nigerian Senate in Plenary pointing to Executive interference and manipulation for orchestrating the unfortunate illegality.” The statement reads.
