
Ahead of the next Nigeria General Election in 2027, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Plateau State have commenced stakeholders meeting across the 17 Local Government Areas to canvas support for the party.
Abdulrahman Muhammad the Plateau State Coordinator of the movement made this disclosure during a town hall meeting held at Sharna Hotel in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Muhammad noted that the NNPP is making the consultation to canvas support and to also strengthening the future of elections in Nigeria, using the lessons learnt from the 2023 general election.
He opined that the State Chapter of the movement organized the stakeholders meeting to drummed support in Plateau State and Nigeria to vote wisely for Rabiu Kwankoso, a man of integrity and a respecter of the people.
He said the stakeholders meetings was held across the 3 geopolitical zones of the state to see the areas that the party couldn’t win the last election and to proffer solution to the challenges.

Speaking further, Muhammad said, the stakeholders highlighted numerous gains and losses from the last poll, while suggesting recommendations to overcome some of the challenges experienced during the polls.
According to him, “Elections are essentially anchored in law. It is therefore important to analyze the election. Stakeholders and other Nigerians must acquaint themselves with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.”
While highlighting the losses and gains from the last election, Muhammad noted that the NNPP is prepare to build synergy to win the state come 2027 .
The Plateau State NNPP/Kwankwasiyya Contact Committee, Sule Yau Tariwa harped on the contribution of their political leader, Dr Rabiu Kwankoso impact in building confidence in them and repositioning democracy in Nigeria.
“The truth is that the Kwankwasiyya Movement is everywhere in Nigeria and the masses are willing to support him to become the next president of Nigeria owning to the projects executed during his tenure in office.
Kwankwasiyya movement had impact immensely in the education, infrastructural development, health care delivering service and human capital development.” He said
He said, “propaganda and lies are tweaking the minds of our people to crucify Kwankosiya Movement to grab power should be rejected and good people shouldn’t be crucified.
“This stakeholders and citizen’s meeting, that for us to enjoy the benefits of good governance we must play our role as stakeholders to expose the lies and propaganda, while also educating our citizens.”
