The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Bauchi State Chapter, has commended Governor Bala Mohammed and the State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) for the peaceful and inclusive conduct of the August 17, 2026, Local Government elections.
In a press statement signed by the State IPAC Secretary, Khalid Arewa, the council expressed gratitude to God for the hitch-free exercise across all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state
The council, representing 15 political parties that participated in the polls, described the election as a testament to the democratic disposition of the state executive.
“By carrying opposition parties along and ensuring that BSIEC was allowed to operate independently, His Excellency has shown that he believes in true democracy where every voice counts, regardless of party affiliation,” Arewa stated.
While thanking the Governor for providing an enabling environment for a credible exercise, IPAC also extended its appreciation to other key stakeholders, including BSIEC for displaying professionalism throughout the process,security agencies for maintaining law and order at the polling units.
It also commended the electorates for turning out to cast their ballots peacefully and reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Bauchi State Government to strengthen democratic institutions and ensure the delivery of good governance at the grassroots level.
