Calls on Governor sule to appoints former NUJ chairman as information commissioner

Comrade Salihu Muhammad Alkali is a leader with vision and wisdom who leads by example.

He successfully led the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nasarawa State Council, over the past six years.

During his tenure, Alkali established a culture of transparency, accountability, and prudent management of the council’s resources. As a seasoned journalist, he provided inclusive leadership without discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation.

He prioritized the welfare of journalists and consistently worked to strengthen the union by holding regular meetings and engaging with the leadership of the various chapels under the NUJ to address issues affecting members.

If Governor Abdullahi Sule appoints Salihu Muhammad Alkali as Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, it would go a long way in providing quality leadership. 

His vast experience would enhance collaboration with media professionals and ensure effective coverage of government policies and programmes across Nasarawa State.

The Ministry of Information needs a seasoned media professional with years of experience in reporting and journalism.

Comrade Alkali possesses the knowledge, competence, and leadership qualities required to effectively pilot the affairs of the ministry.

Comrade Salihu Muhammad Alkali is from Doma Local Government Area and works with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

As the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nasarawa State Council, his appointment by Governor Abdullahi Sule would further promote peace, unity, and professionalism among journalists and contribute positively to the development of the state.

Comrade Salihu Muhammad Alkali is a leader par excellence, known for his vision, fairness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to professionalism.

He is a principled man whose leadership continues to inspire many.
