Nasarawa Traditional Ruler Appeals for Construction of Lafia-Madagwa Road

The Traditional Ruler of Madagwan Hausawa in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, has appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to assist in the construction of the road linking the community to Lafia, the state capital.

The monarch made the appeal while addressing residents at his palace shortly after returning from the Eid prayer ground during the Sallah celebration in Madagwan Hausawa on Wednesday.

According to him, the construction of the road would ease transportation challenges, improve security, and boost socio-economic activities in the area, noting that the majority of residents are farmers who depend on accessible roads to transport their produce.

He commended Governor Sule for ongoing developmental efforts across Nasarawa State and further appealed for the provision of electricity to the community to improve the living conditions of residents.

Alhaji Idris also called for peaceful coexistence and dialogue among farmers and herders in and around the community, especially as the rainy season begins.

The traditional ruler reiterated the ban on night grazing in the area and urged farmers to create cattle routes while cultivating their farmlands to help prevent clashes between farmers and herders.

He further encouraged residents to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them participate actively in the electoral process and elect leaders who would bring development to the community.
