Residents of Sangyang community in Tangur Ward of Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, have expressed joy following the completion of a block of three classrooms, an office, and a store at LEA Primary School Sangyang.
The project, which is aimed at improving the learning environment for pupils in the rural community, was described as a major step toward enhancing access to quality education for underprivileged children in Plateau State.
Hon. Obadiah Afwanks, a Special Adviser to the Plateau State Governor on Budget who spoke over the completion of the project gave glory to God for the successful execution of the classroom block, noting that the new structure would provide comfort and motivation for pupils in their academic pursuits.
He also extended appreciation to the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for his commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children across the state.
The Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) was also commended for its support and dedication to executing impactful projects in hard-to-reach communities within Plateau State.
Hon. Afwanks further appreciated all individuals and groups who contributed toward the successful completion of the project, describing the development as one that would positively change the future and life stories of children attending the school.
Also, residents of the community expressed optimism that the new classrooms would create a more conducive learning environment and encourage better educational outcomes for pupils in the area.
They reaffirmed their belief that education remains a critical tool for community development and prayed for continued progress and support for rural schools across Plateau State.
