The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated its State Chairman, Hon. Dogo Shammah, on his election as Chairman of the NDC North Central Chairmen Forum.
The party described Shammah’s emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership qualities and commitment to the growth of the party across the North Central region.
In a press statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Danjuma Joseph Amirikpa, on behalf of the NDC State Working Committee, the party said the election took place in Abuja last week.
The statement noted that Shammah’s victory reflects his sterling leadership, dedication, and impressive record of service, adding that his new responsibility did not come as a surprise to members of the party.
According to the statement, the NDC chairman has consistently distinguished himself in every assignment entrusted to him, earning the confidence of party leaders and members alike.
The party described his emergence as Chairman of the North Central Chairmen Forum as a proud achievement for Nasarawa State and a strong endorsement of his capacity to provide leadership, direction, and unity across the zone.
It expressed confidence that Shammah would bring the same passion, commitment, and excellence that have characterized his leadership in Nasarawa State to his new regional assignment.
The State Working Committee further reaffirmed its unwavering support for the chairman as he assumes the new responsibility, pledging to work with him in advancing the ideals of the party.
The NDC concluded by congratulating Shammah once again on his election and wished him a successful tenure as Chairman of the North Central Chairmen Forum.
Hon. Dogo Shammah, a journalist-turned-politician, has been at the forefront of efforts to strengthen the NDC in Nasarawa State ahead of future elections.
Under his leadership, the party remains focused on providing a formidable opposition and positioning itself to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for power in the state.
