Nigerians have been reassured of better dividends of democracy ahead of 2027 with the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was stated separately by the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, and the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hon. Imaan Ibrahim Suleiman.
The duo made the statements in their electoral wards of Tudun Kofar and Liman Abaji respectively, while participating in the voting to elect the president as the sole candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, who was overwhelmingly elected in the just-concluded APC governorship primaries, said his continued faith in the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration stems from the disbursement of funds to states from the federation account, which has enabled massive infrastructure development by the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
“I am particularly delighted today, being the day we all gathered to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the candidate of our great party, the APC. Without much ado, I am confident that with the massive turnout from my electoral ward, the president will successfully win not just the primary but will be overwhelmingly elected come 2027.
“Let me also use this medium to thank the people of Nasarawa State for the support given to me to emerge as the flag bearer of our party in the state. The mandate the people have given me, and the trust placed in Bola Ahmed Tinubu, shall be reciprocated through good governance where all Nigerians will be better placed in the global economy, especially with the removal of the oil subsidy,” he added.
The governorship flag bearer appealed for peace among citizens of the state and urged them to desist from politics of bitterness and embrace peace for the overall development of the state.
Also speaking, the Federal Minister for Women Affairs, Dr. Imaan Ibrahim Suleiman, said she was happy with the massive turnout, especially by women who had stood firm for the APC throughout the primaries to elect the House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential candidates.
“This goes a long way to show that the people are with the APC and still trust the administration of my principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His reform policies are magnanimous and visible, which is why the people, especially in my ward, have come out en masse to show solidarity and support for Mr. President. And by the grace of God, he will be re-elected come 2027,” the minister asserted.
Dr. Imaan Ibrahim Suleiman called on the people to remain prayerful and hopeful, saying better days lie ahead.
