Sen. Ahmed Wadada has donated the sum of N20 million and 27,000 membership registration forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to facilitate ongoing party membership e-registration in Nasarawa State.
Wadada, who is currently representing Nasarawa West in the Senate and the lead governorship aspirant in the state, made the donation at the Party State Secretariat on Tuesday in Lafia.
Wadada noted that the donation would serve as an instrument to facilitate the mobilisation of party members for the exercise to take Nasarawa state to the next level.
“Today, we have come in our own way to support the party, we have always been committed party members, whatever happens, at whatever time, we will always come in for the good of the party, and by extension for the good of the people.
“We have come with 27,000 registration forms. That means each of our 13 local governments will have 2,000 forms and 1,000 extra.
We are also supporting each of the 13 Local Governments through the party with N1 million, the three zones will receive N1 million each, the party headquarters in the state will be given N3 million, and N1 million will be given to the staff of the party,” he announced
He applauded President Bola Tinubu and the national working committee of the party for initiating the e-registration to digitalize membership and secure the data of party members.
He commended Gov Abdullahi Sule’s leadership that fosters peace and unity in Nasarawa state and urged members and party supporters to embrace peace at all times.
“Politics is about development, we should not respond to anything that is not developmentally inclined. We should not allow ourselves to get distracted; we must remain respectful, committed, and focused,” he advised.
Dr Aliyu Bello, Nasarawa State APC chairman, while receiving the items expressed appreciation to Sen. Wadada for the support.
He assured that the party membership registration forms and other support would be distributed across the 13 LGAs accordingly.
Bello expressed hope that given the present status of Nasarawa state in the ongoing party e-registration chart, he has no doubt the state would compete favourably amongst the top states in the registration chart. (NAN)
