He said that Nurses are engaged in essential healthcare services delivery much more than Medical Doctors as they
are in the forefront of healthcare services delivery even in the remotest areas of the country where Medical Doctors cannot access.

“The human infrastructure that drives health, and if we talk about that human infrastructure, at the foundation, is not physical. So you have to say physical. You are very important.”

“The Nurse is more important than the Doctor. The Doctor is between the Nurse the patient. The Nurse owns the patient. The Nurse is everything. And it has been predicted that in 2030 the world will be full of nurses. So you are leading an important cause.”

“So, I thank you, the Proprietor for what you are doing here. I thank the President of Faculty, because I know there is a similar things happening across. We need to help. We need to support what you are doing. What you are doing is for the society,”

“And for those of us, it is not politics. I go to about 60, 70 Nursing Schools annually to support them. Because I know the critical roles you play in delivering effective healthcare services across the country.”

“We have a issue of health today, and it is important that we do the right thing. So, build a better country where people will be healthy, because health is wealth. So thank you. I will do more to the requests, because they are important.”

“So whatever we can do to support those youths, we need to do it. Today, we know that the number one measure of success of any nation is health. And you’ve got to measure health without thinking of the human infrastructure that drives health. And if we’re talking about health, we’re talking about social health. We are here univited just to come and see what you are doing and see how we can support you” he said

In his remarks, Proprietor of the College, Hon Aminu Mohammed Danmaliki, commended Peter Obi for finding time out of his tight schedules to visit the College, particularly uninvited.
