Anambra Governorship Candidates Promises all encompassing Leadership

A gubernatorial candidate of National Rescue Movement, Amb. Jim Okolo, has said that if elected  governor of Anambra State in the poll slated for for November this year, he will run an all inclusive government, centered on youth, women and the vulnerable segments of the society.

He made this known while speaking to journalist at the sidelines the 2025 Afrixim Bank Conference with the theme building a resilient African Economy, said as a young person joining the guber race he will change the narrative in the governance of Anambra State, by ensuring that the the youth, women and other vulnerable people are catered for.

“Seeing how they long for it, I can say that I have a fair knowledge of what is good for my people, the vulnerable especially, the old generation, the  youthful population, I want to run women centric governance because they are the microsome of a greater sustainable society” he said 

“Basically am a youth with all indices, the youth are all inclusive in my agenda and I want to be an all inclusive leader, coming with proper and social inclusion in the governance system of our State, knowing that the political space is riddled with a lot shenanigans towards the youth, so am coming to put the records straight, I want the youth to understand that a youth is coming, youth thar has his imprint in the international sphere and in the country Nigeria” he added.

Speaking on the incumbent governor of the State, Prof. Chukwuma  Soludu, he said” governor Solodu is a very known figure in the Nigerian political landscape, having been the governor of the Central Bank, he did well as the CBN Governor, I would not say he is doing well as a governor as the governor of Anambra State, because a lot of people are clamouring for change and paradigm shift, they are looking out for a younger generation, I want to say categorically that my people want me to come seeing my impact in the society especially in my own society.

Okolo who said he worked in the Millennium Development Goals office ( MDGs) during the administration of President Umaru Yaradua, working with Amina Muhammed as a resource person, that he understands the tenet and principles of development and developmental deliverables, and knows how to  get that to the people of Anambra State.

Bearing his mind on the lesson learnt on the Afrixim Bank 2025 Conference, Amb. Okolo said the the leadership capacity of the outgoing president of Afrixim Bank , professional Benedict Okechukwu Orama who have led the bank in the last 10 years, appreciating  the him for changing the narrative in ensuring  that African becomes the centre piece of of development, in economy, governance and development.
