Engr. Beedee Bot

It was a gathering of family, colleagues and friends of the Director General (DG) of the newly constituted Plateau State Roads Funds Board and Administration, Engr. Beedee Bot to celebrate with him at his 60th birthday and retirement from the Plateau state civil service.

The COCIN Church Dadin Kowa sanctuary was filled to capacity as Engr. Dr. Bot narrates his experiences in the civil engineering space across the state.

“I joined the services of Plateau State government in 2001 after putting up 10 years with the private sector. I had found myself in dangerous situations in the cause of discharging my duties, but God in his infinite mercy saved me”, the celebrant narrated.

Engr. Beedee Bot who was filled with joy praised God for all the successes he recorded in discharging his duties, and appreciated the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for appointing him as the Director General of Plateau State Roads Funds Board and Administration.

In their separate messages, the COCIN President Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo, the Leading Pastor COCIN Dadin Kowa, Rev. Michael Istifanus, among other clergy eulogized the celebrant for his sacrifice to the Church and humanity, as they prayed for God’s favour and protection over him and the new office.

The Jos Provisional Church Council (PCC) Chairman, Rev. Mudimka Seri who was the preacher at the service, tilted his message as “Celebrating God’s faithfulness” with scriptural reading from the book of Nehemiah 12:27-47.

He enjoined believers to approach God with a pure and joyful heart as in the case of Nehemiah after he led the building of the broken walls of Jerusalem.

“It was a true Christian celebration with expression of joy and thanksgiving. It was a very great event likened to Engr. Bot’s thanksgiving service”, the clergy maintained.

There were goodwill messages from Commissioner, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Adams Lekshak, President, Nigeria Society of Engineers, among other dignitaries with beautiful renditions from the church singing groups and the Bot’s family.

Guests were later thrilled to good music, dance steps, as well as sumptuous meals at the Tamarald Event Centre, Jos.
