
Mr. Genshakka Emmanuel Hassan, founder and chairman of the Genshakka Emmanuel Foundation (GEF) presented cash, diapers and detergents among other items to newborn babies in Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos
The gesture was parts of activities to celebrate his birthday which was on the 23rd of December.
Mr. Genshakka and his team were received during the visit by the hospital’s management, including the department of Social Welfare.
The management led the team to the Pediatric and Maternity wards which were the primary focus of the foundation’s charitable efforts.



Manager of the Foundation, Mr. Ezekiel Gosan Turbe, in an opening address, explained reason of their visit and noted that Mr. Emmanuel Genshakka chose to spend his birthday with those in need rather than with friends and family.
In his remarks, the celebrant appreciated the doctors and nurses for their professionalism in caring for patients.
He noted that, “December 23 has always been a special day for me. I choose to celebrate with you rather than hanging out with friends. I want to assure you that God will take care of your conditions.”

During the visit, Mr. Genshakka Emmanuel provided financial support of 10,000 Naira to seven children with minor cases and 50,000 Naira to three children with more serious conditions at the pediatric ward.
At the maternity ward, Mr. Genshakka was delighted to meet ten newborns, two of whom share his birthday, including a set of twins. Mr. Emmanuel donated 5,000 Naira, diapers, and detergents to each of the nine newborns, while one mother who underwent a cesarean section received 50,000 Naira due to her situation.
In total, the donations at the Pediatric and Maternity wards amounted to 315,000 Naira, excluding the diapers and detergents provided by the Foundation.



The founder also collected details of the children born on his birthday, promising them certificates of recognition.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the celebrant’s, stating that such generosity is often seen in others, but today, they felt it through Mr. Genshakka’s kindness.
Doctors and nurses at the hospital called on the public to support the Genshakka Emmanuel Foundation, emphasizing that many beneficiaries had lost hope due to their inability to afford hospital bills. Mr. Emmanuel’s visit was seen as timely and impactful.
