
The African Director, ServeNow, Mr. Simeon Havyarimana has described salvation as the most important human need on earth.
He made this known recently at COCIN Headquarters, Jos Plateau State during the launching of the organization’s discipleship material on the ‘Basic Things You Need to Know about Salvation’, which was organized by Shalom Youth Development Initiative (SYDI) in collaboration with ServeNow.
According to him all the good things on this earth such as house, cars, food, clothes are temporal except salvation which is eternal. And that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and he is for all irrespective of race, ethnicity or social status, Just as the Bible says “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

While encouraging the youth to take time to digest the content of the material, Mr. Havyerimana narrated how God used him to reach out with the gospel since he was a youth. He said when we become born again Jesus enters our lives supernaturally and the more years we are in him the more peace, strong and better we will be.
The African Director, said ServeNow as an organization started in 2010 with the Headquarters in Colorado, USA, where the founder Lars Dunberg who had retired from active service as a missionary was called by God to serve Him (God) ‘Now’ because tomorrow belongs to the Lord.
He said as an organization, they have three pillars of intervention that includes: Equipping the Church, Project Support and Relief Needs. He went on to commend SYDI for being organized and pray God to help then achieve their goal.

The Executive Director Shalom Youth Development Initiative, Mr. Hezekiah Panye in his welcome address said as a Non Profit organization which started in 2015 they are out to strengthen youth capacity so that they can be self sustainable and contribute towards nation building.
According to him they have partnered with both local and international organizations to implement projects in Plateau State in which the discipleship programme done in collaboration with ServeNow is among.
There were goodwill messages from Rev. Nenman Gowon of Rhema Hills Chapel, the Vice Chairman Plateau Youth Council, Comrade Emmanuel Jukun and others.
