The Secretary of the North Central Socio – political Organisation, Middle Belt Youth Forum (MBYF), Comrade Bishop Matthew has described emergence of Danladi Jatau as Speaker of the Nasarawa state Assembly as a testament of inclusivity in the administration of Gov Abdullahi Sule.

Comrade Matthew who is also a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the former Chairman, Young Progressive Party (YPP) said this on Sunday in Lafia.

Danladi Jatau, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Kokona East state Constituency became the speaker unopposed after the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja sacked the former speaker, Ibrahim Balarebe Abdullahi.

According to Matthew, there has never been a time where a Christian parliamentarian was elected as Assembly Speaker in the history of Nasarawa state, noting that Jatau emergence as speaker further confirmed the inclusivity of APC administration.

The MBYF’s Scribe commended APC and Gov. Sule for ensuring equitable distribution of leadership in the state.

” I see emergence of Jatau as Speaker as a credit to the administration of Governor Sule, it increases people’s confidence in his leadership, he has done what nobody has ever done in the state.

“It is a thing of joy for the APC family, and most especially Christianity adherent members in the assembly as well as the people of Nasarawa state.

“Once you have a leader with the fear of God, you don’t expect anything short of equity in the distribution of leadership, the governor has demonstrated equity and fairness in his appointments irrespective of political and religious affiliations,” he said.

On presentation of the 2024 budget, he applauded Governor Sule for the timely presentation of the appropriation bill for consideration by the state Assembly.

Comrade Matthew applauded Governor Sule for giving education a deserved priority by allocating the highest share to the sector.

“Governor Sule has been doing a lot in the sector, ranging from massive recruitment of teachers to the renovations of schools, and even now, screening for recruitment in the education sector is ongoing in the state,” he said.
