
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday reserved judgment on the appeal filed by Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the annulment of his election by the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal.
The tribunal on Oct. 2, in a split judgment where Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, Chairman of the tribunal and Justice Chiemelie Onaga, declared Mr David Ombugadu of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of March 18 governorship election.
Meanwhile, the only dissenting judgment was delivered by Justice Ibrahim Mashi, who dismissed the petition filed by the PDP candidate for lacking in merit and upheld the declaration of Gov. Sule by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
After counsels to parties involved in the matter argued thier grounds, Justice Onyemenam Uchechukwu, led three member panel reserved the judgment and said that the date would be communicated to the parties.

Furthermore, the court had also reserved judgment on the cross appealed filed by the PDP candidate challenging the dissenting judgment of the tribunal.
Earlier, Messrs Woke Olanikpekun (SAN), Counsel to Gov. Sule adopted his five grounds of appeal and called on the court to set aside the judgment of the tribunal and uphold the dissenting judgment.
On his part, Kanu Agabi (SAN), counsel to Ombugadu also adopted his brief of argument and urged the court to dismiss the appeal by the governor and uphold the judgment of the tribunal. (NAN).
