
The organised labour in Nasarawa State has directed its affiliates to ensure total compliance with the nation-wide strike action from Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023.
The National headquarters of the organised labour had directed all state councils to commence an indefinite strike of the brutalization of Joe Ajaero, National President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Imo state recently.
The leaders of NLC and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state on Tuesday at an emergency meeting directed all affiliates to withdraw their services indefinitely.
Comr. Ayuba Okor, Chairman of NLC and Mohammed Dona, his TUC counterpart said the decision was in compliance with the directive from their national body.

The leaders directed all affiliates to mobilise their members in compliance and await further directive from the national leadership through the state leadership of the union.
The duo also said that monitoring and enforcement teams were already activated and would go round offices by Wednesday to ensure total shutdown.
The leaders of the various affiliates had pledged their commitment to comply with the directive of the National Headquarters of the union.
Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state it was observed that workers complied with the strike partially as they were offering skeletal services.
Some of the workers who spoke on condition of anonymity, said their leaders in the state were yet to direct them to comply. (NAN).
