
Two Hundred and Thirty One newly recruited Police constables have been posted to Plateau State.
Receiving the officers at the Plateau State Police Command Headquarters in Jos, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bartholomew Onyeka, charged them on professionalism as they serve the nation in providing security to the Nigeria citizens.
He said they should know that Police is a discipline organization and not an organization that they will do anything they want, but have to obey rules and regulations guiding the Nigeria Police Force.
“You have to be yourself, you have to be responsible and you have to follow rules and regulations. You are now not on your own, you are under a constituted authority, anything you do you will be held responsible” the CP added.

He said inline with the policy of the Community Policing Project and as directed by the Inspector General of Police, they will all be posted to their various Local Governments to complement efforts of the Divisional Police Officers and as well as Area Commandants in the rural areas.
“I want to urgent everyone of you to behave himself and do what is expected of you” he emphasized.

To some of the newly recruited officers who spoke with Journalists, Joshua Pam and Suzan Adela, finding them worthy to serve the nation through the Nigeria Police Force is a dream come through.
They all pledged to be committed, professional in their conducts and used the training they acquired from their instructors to be good ambassadors of Nigeria that the citizens will appreciate.
Out of the 231 constables posted to Plateau State, 196 are males while 35 are female.
