The Executive Chairman, Jos East Local Government Council, Hon.(Pastor) Yakubu Izang Ezekiel, on behalf of Government and peace loving people of the area, heartily felicitates with the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, (GCFR), Vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, (GCON), the amiable Governor of Plateau State and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Rt Hon. Barr ( Dr) Simon Bako Lalong (KSGG), his Deputy, Members of the Federal and Plateau State Executive Councils, leadership and Membership of Red and Green Chambers, Traditional Council, Judiciary, Religious Organization, Civil Society Organization, Labour Unions and indeed the entire Nigerians over the celebration of the 62nd Independence Anniversary.
We in Jos East are proud to identify with the laudable initiatives of the Buhari and Lalong led administrations cutting across infrastructure and human capital development, economic, educational and political rejuvenation, Social Investment Programme, fight against corruption, insurgency, militancy and other related vices.
As we celebrate this year’s Independence day, we pay glowing tribute to our founding fathers of our great Nation Nigeria,for their selfless sacrifices, perseverance for promoting a sense of patriotism and nationhood which has remained our source of strength in diversity.
Despite our challenges as a Nation, the 62nd Independence celebrations also calls for a renewed interest, sober reflections, steadfastness in order to deepen the content of our democracy.We wish all Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora an eventful celebration, may we think of those things that would unite us most rather than those things that would divide us.
