The National body of the Ngas Development Association (NDA) has congratulated one of it’s son who clinched the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress APC and d cleared as standard flag bearer of the party in Plateau State for the 2023 Election.
In a press statement made available to Daily News Breakers by the National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Nde Wika Gofwen, the Ngas nation heartily congratulates Dr. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe for emerging victorious in the recently concluded delegates’ primary elections of the (APC) in Plateau State.
The statement reads “Indeed, like other Plateau citizens, the Ngas Nation particularly received with extreme joy the cheering news and wishes to thank delegates of the APC from all over the State for the goodwill reposed on our Son for the challenge ahead. We are very grateful to you all.
“We also wish to salute his fellow aspirants for their peaceful conduct before and during the election. We have no doubt about the difficulties they individually encountered during the race and the pain of accepting the outcome but we appeal to them to accept their brother’s victory with equanimity and open arms, praying that it will not be the end but the beginning of a relationship between them.
“The NDA hereby urges him to embrace his erstwhile fellow contestants with similar open arms and to seek to incorporate in his future governance blueprint some useful suggestions from them.
“Our gratitude also goes to His Excellency, Governor Simon Lalong and his government for the peaceful piloting of the state of affairs that provided the free and equitable ambiance that made the election possible.
“In a similar manner, we appreciate the APC as a party for not only providing our Son with the political platform but also ensuring that the primaries were conducted according to the schedule and due process.
“We shall not fail to use this opportunity to once again thank the people of Plateau State for your overwhelming goodwill towards the Ngas nation.
“We are aware of this friendship over the many years and we wish to assure you all that the feelings are mutual!
“You can be assured that you can always trust us for any support too. We shall always be guided by our inherited motto : “Aska daya, magana daya! ”
“To our Son, Dr. Nentawe, we implore you not to relent but to spring for more accomplishments. Continue in your admirable bridge building you have been doing across the state, your youth and gender focus, the marvelous development and futuristic projections, and many others. That the prestigious PIDAN and several development agencies, associations and opinion leaders had long ranked you top, is a matter of pride to us.
“But as we say in Ngas, “kadang gha rit dung, bè gha sup kake”(If you’re called handsome, still take bath)!
“Finally, we pray that this support to our Son will continue till he is convincingly voted in as the Executive Governor of Plateau State come 2023”.
