The Genshakka Emmanuel Foundation (GEF) has continued its philanthropic efforts in Plateau State by supporting two students in Jos North Local Government Area.
Miss Juliet Nanzing, a resident of Tudun Wada, Jos, who dropped out of school after losing her parents, has been awarded a scholarship by GEF. The foundation registered her for her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and paid three terms’ school fees for her at Government Secondary School (GSS) Tudun WADA Jos.
Mr. Gotom Joshua Suwa, Educational Coordinator of GEF, presented the award to her on behalf of the foundation and advised Juliet to make the most of the opportunity. He stated that this was a test of her commitment to her education, which would determine if the NGO would continue to support her.
In another gesture, GEF also empowered Miss Blessing Solomon, also a resident of Tudun Wads, with a tailoring trade. Mrs. Augustina Edmond, Coordinator of Empowerment of the foundation, presented the award to Blessing.
The beneficiaries and their families expressed gratitude to GEF and its founder, Mr. Genshakka Emmanuel Hassan, for their kindness and support.
The Principal of GSS Tudun Wada Jos, Mr. Kahansim Luka Tangsem, praised GEF for its intervention, saying many students were in similar situations and urged Juliet to seize the opportunity.
GEF officials, including Mr. Nasiru Sani, Media Coordinator, and Destiny Agash, Secretary, were present at the event.
