Rep. Jeremiah Umaru, a member of the House of Representatives (APC – Akwanga/Nassarawa Eggon/Wamba), has reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality representation and delivering greater democratic dividends to the people of his constituency.
Umaru made the assurance during an interactive meeting with stakeholders of Akun Area Administrative Council in Aloce, Nasarawa Eggon LGA.
The lawmaker highlighted his achievements in the National Assembly, including sponsoring bills and motions, as well as various empowerment programmes and infrastructural projects across his constituency.
He said the meeting aimed to outline his accomplishments and gather feedback from his constituents about their challenges and needs.
“This meeting is an engagement and interaction meeting.
“I am here to tell you what I have done so far and still doing, and also to hear from you what you want me to do for your communities,” Umaru stated.

Among his legislative achievements, Umaru cited sponsoring the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) bill, which established its headquarters in Lafia.
He also noted empowerment initiatives such as distribution of deep freezers, sewing machines, job opportunities, student welfare programmes, fertiliser distribution, and installation of solar street lights.
“My goal is to ensure that every child, no matter their background, has a chance to succeed in society,” he added, promising continued sound and effective representation at the National Assembly.
Umaru further solicited the support of his constituents to enable him to succeed beyond 2027.
Community leaders including Mr Mamman Alushi, Thomas Dasu, Awayi Kuje, and Friday Ovey lauded Umaru for his active role in the development of the constituency.
However, they urged him to focus more on physical infrastructure and other critical projects.
