A former Nigeria Ambassador to Liberia and Veteran Journalist, Ambassador James Dimka has condoled with the family of the former President Muhammadu Buhari who recently passed on in a UK Hospital from medical complications.
The former diplomat, who was one-time chairman of the Plateau State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists from 1982 to 1984, also condoled with the Daura Emirate Council, the Government and people of Katsina State.
The Veteran Journalist noted with nostalgia that during his reign as NUJ chairman, Plateau State Council, there was a cordial working relationship with the Third Armoured Division of the Nigeria Army as the late President encourages Military-Press relations.

“The late President no doubt occupies a prominent place in Nigeria’s history, first as military Head of state and later as President in a democratic dispensation from 2015 to 2023.
“Late Buhari lived a life thinking about the welfare of the people as he meant well for Nigeria and advanced the cause of the people, a Statesman of integrity, discipline, and simplicity.” He added.

Ambassador Dimka recalled with a high sense of responsibility as it was during his tenure that he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenary Portentiary to Liberia between 2017 and 2020.
He notes that the late president is indeed a patriot, a soldier, whose legacy of service and sacrifices endures, as he serves Nigeria with unwavering dedication and commitment.
