Plateau Paramount Ruler Caution Subjects Against Self Aggrandizement 

The Chairman, Jos East local government Traditional Council, Rev. Dr Isaac Azi Wakili has cautioned his subjects against involvement in issues that may bring bad image to the traditional institutions.

The monarch who is the Agwom Izere of Izere Nation was speaking recently, during coronation of Ada Ajiji Izang Dabo as the new village head of Niji in Fursum District of Jos East Local Government Area, at his Palace in Shere.

In a statement by the Information Officer of Jos East local government council, Yusufu Haruna Magit, said the paramount Chief further commended the District head of Fursum Adagwom Usman Nyam and the king makers for finding Ada Ajiji Dabo worthy to replace the deceased Village head of Niji and advised the newly coronated village head to ensure peace, unity and progress among his people while his throne last 

Earlier, the District Head of Fursum, Adagwom Usman Nyam upon presentation of the new village head to be blessed with the coronation rituals, stressed that Ada Ajiji Izang Sambo stood out tall among the contestants and expressed optimism that he will not betray the confidence bestowed on him.

On their Part, former Councillor, Fursum East Ward, Markus Buba Atang and Elder brother to the newly enthroned village head of Niji, Izang Atsen, who is the Councillor rep Fursum East Ward and Majority leader, Jos East Legislative Council as well as Chairman, House Committee on Chieftaincy Affairs both showered accolades on all who played various roles before and during the coronation, and maintained that they have confidence in the ability of the new village head for his disposition of humility, hard work and dedicated to any giving task.

Responding in an interview with the press shortly after his coronation, Ada Ajiji Izang Sambo appreciated the king makers, District Head of Fursum and His Royal Highness Agwom Izere for his selection and subsequent coronation to lead his people in that capacity, pledged to live above board in displaying examplary servant leadership.

Highlights of the coronation were presentation of certificate to the new village head by the Agwom Izere and display of WAZA dance by various cultural groups in celebration at the Niji Village square.
