The Nasarawa State chapter of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has called on the Inspector-General of Police to investigate the invasion of their headquarters in Lagos by hoodlums recently.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by Comrade Haruna Ewa, and Comrade David Polang Chairman and Secretary of the association and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The Nasarawa State leaders stated that the recent action of the expelled President of the association, Bola Audu-Innocent where he allegedly stormed the National Secretariat of the Association in Lagos in company of hoodlums and vandalized the facility will not be tolerated hence the need for thorough investigations to bring the perpetrators to book.
The association called on office of the Accountant General of Federation to suspend the erstwhile President who is said to be under prosecution by National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP).
“Bola Audu-Innocent has gone to the court challenging his expulsion from the association, instead of waiting for the outcome of the court process he had initiated, he resorted to thuggery and extra judicial means to return to power.
“Due process was followed in the suspension and subsequent expulsion of the embattled erstwhile president of the association,” the statement added.
The Nasarawa State chapter of ASCSN said the police should investigate and unravel the circumstances that led to the invasion, arrest the perpetrators to avoid breakdown of law and order.

They however passed a vote of confidence on Comrade Tommy Okon and Comrade Alade Bashir, President and Secretary-General of the association.
