Benue: Ado LGA Chairman gets media recognition for notable milestone on 100 days in office

A media group under the aegis of Middle Belt Media Practitioner has commended the chairman of Ado local government Engr. Sunny Oche, saying that Within his first 100 days in office, Tilla and Ogu communities were united, facilitating the signing of a peace-building agreement, which is a significant milestone in promoting peace and stability in the region.

In addition to conflict resolution, Engr. Oche has also initiated infrastructure development projects, including the construction of the Igumale road, with the official flag-off ceremony for the project expecting to take place soon.

The group made this known when they presented a certificate of recognition to the council chairman in in office.

According to them, the recognition is a testament to his outstanding performance in office.

Comr. Emmanuel Angur, who presented the certificate on behalf of the forum, said the award is intended to encourage Engr. Oche to continue his good work.

Angur emphasized that Oche’s nomination and selection were based solely on his individual merit and the consensus of Ado people, who appreciated his efforts to improve their lives.

He added that as the chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Engr. Oche has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, working tirelessly to address the needs of the electorates in conflict resolution, infrastructure development, and community engagement has earned him widespread recognition and admiration.

According to Angur, the people of Ado are fortunate to have a dedicated and visionary leader like Engr. Oche, who is committed to making a positive impact in their lives.

Stakeholders who attended the presentation ceremony praised the Middle Belt Media Practitioners for acknowledging Engr. Oche’s achievements. They highlighted his remarkable accomplishments, including resolving long-standing conflicts, such as the Agilla and Ogu crisis, which had persisted for over 100 years.

While receiving the certificate of recognition from the  Middle Belt Practitioner, Ado LGA boss, expressed his gratitude to the group stating that it would motivate him to work even harder. He also thanked Governor Hycent Alia of Benue State who prioritizes  grassroots development and community empowerment and the people of Ado for giving him the opportunity to serve as their chairman.
