
Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Fulani Socio Cultural Association has lauded President Bola Tinubu-led administration for the creation of the ministry of Livestock Development.
Alh. Abdullahi Bello-Bodejo and Eng. Saleh Alhassan, National President and National Secretary of the group gave the commendation at a press conference on Sunday in Karu Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasararawa State.
Bello-Bodejo said that this monumental step was a clear Indication of the government’s recognition of the pivotal role that livestock farming plays in the nation’s economy, culture, and social fabric.
He explained that the creation of this ministry signifies a new era for millions of livestock farmers and pastoralists who have long awaited such a dedicated and focused body to address their unique challenges and opportunities.
“This Livestock ministry will undoubtedly pave the way for innovative solutions and policies aimed at enhancing the productivity, sustainability, and profitability of livestock farming in Nigeria.
“We anticipate that it will foster a more robust and supportive environment, promoting global best practices and introducing modern techniques that will revolutionize the sector.
“Moreover, it stands to significantly contribute to food security, job creation, and rural development,” Bello-Bodejo added.

The president further said that they are confident that the ministry would be a beacon of progress and development and said they are eagerly looking forward to working closely with the ministry to achieve the purpose of its creation.
“This has been the singular agitation of our association since it was founded and we are calling on all state governors to establish the ministry in their respective states like the Gov. of Niger State, Umaru Bago,” he added.
Bello-Bodejo further said that the members of the association across the country would not participate in the planned protest scheduled for Aug. 1.
On his part, the secretary of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore said they wish to unequivocally and in strong terms state that they do not support the planned protests across the country and their members would not participate.
“While we deeply feel the frustrations and grievances that many Nigerians are experiencing, we firmly believe that peaceful dialogue and constructive engagement with relevant authorities re far more effective.
“Our decision is guided by our commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and unity within our nation,” he added.
He therefore reiterated their commitment to supporting initiatives by the president and promote peace, security, and sustainable development. (NAN).
