Nasarawa Govt. partners FRSC, directs Civil Servants to obey traffic rules

Barr. Abigail Waya, Nasarawa State Head of Civil Service (HoCS) says that the state government would partner the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to curtail crashes and avoidable loss of lives and property.

The Head of Service made the pledge while she received Corps Commander Lucia Samuel-Mhii, Nasarawa State Sector Commander of FRSC on a courtesy call in her office on Friday in Lafia.

According to Waya, the business of safety on the highways is everybody’s responsibility and the state government would be in the lead to ensure the protection of the people as part of its mandate.

The HoCS who is a Special Marshal, directed all civil servants in the state to adhere strictly with the traffic rules to show example to other members of the public.

Waya therefore congratulated the sector commander on her posting to the state and wished her a successful stay.

Earlier, Samuel-Mhii, sector commander said the visit was aimed at seeking partnership with the state government to sustain the already cordial working relationship between them.

She further said that the command want to activate the safety consciousness of the workforce and safe them from untimely crashes related deaths.

The sector commander therefore, urged everyone in the state to join the vanguard to preach the message of safety at all times in order to safe lives.

She therefore promised to partner with individuals and groups interested in ensuring safety of lives and property on the highways. (NAN).
