Paramount Ruler of Izere Nation  Receives New Emir of Toro

The Agbang Agwom Izere of Izere Nation, Rev Dr Isaac Azi Wakili, has reiterated the need to sustain the cordial working relationship between the people of Jos East in Plateau State and Toro in Bauchi State.

This came to light when he received in audience the newly installed Emir of Toro on a royal homage in his palace at Shere in Jos East Local Government Area recently.

The Monarch stressed that since time immemorial, the two neighbouring Local Government Councils have had a bond of relationship that existed between them, in terms of security surveillance, traditional leadership, religious harmony and community development, among others.

While calling for a sustainable and more robust relationship in that regard, the Monarch however cautioned against harbouring foreigners in any of the two Local Government Areas and the entire states of Bauchi and Plateau in the face of daunting security challenges confronting Nigeria as a country.

Earlier, the newly installed Emir of Toro, Alh. Dr Umar Adamu, who holds a Second‑Class status, pointed out that his visit is in continuation of his tour to all monarchs in Toro and neighbouring Local Governments and States, irrespective of tribe or religious inclination.

The Emir, Dr Adamu, emphasized, without mincing words, that he is not taking for granted the cordial relationship that has existed for decades and, in particular, his personal hearty ties with the Jos East Monarch.

He equally admonished their subjects to rally round the traditional institutions, development associations, religious organizations and the Local Government Councils’ leaderships to put on check any foreigners that may cause disaffection between the two Local Government areas.

The event climax with intercessory prayers for peace, unity, progress and sustained harmonies relationship among the two monarch, Jos East and Toro Traditional Councils and the entire people of the Local Government areas.
