The recently defected Plateau Lawmaker from People’s Democratic Party PDP to Labour Party, Nanbol Listick has expressed optimism of winning his reelection to the Plateau State House of Assembly in his new found political party come 2023.
Nanbol Listick, member representing Langtang North Central in the 9th Assembly who recently defected to the labour party following what he termed as “injustice by some few individuals in the party” said the constituents who appreciated his performance have assured him of second mandate in any political party.
The first time member who’s performance in terms of contributions on the floor of the house and Constituency interventions has endeared him to his constituents, wonder why some few individuals will want to truncate the will of the majority by hijacking his former party, the PDP.
Nanbol Listick also debunked speculation in some quarters that his reelection bid is against zoning formula of the constituency, where he said the zoning system allow second term just as a former member of the Constituency, Mrs. Dina Lar was elected twice consecutively.

He said his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and subsequent defection to the Labour Party followed wide consultations with electorates in the constituency and not a one man decision.
In his 3 years as representative of the good people of the Langtang North Central constituency, Nanbol said he has sponsored bills, motions on matters of public importance that needs urgent government attention for the betterment of the Constituency and state at large.
He said he has intervene in the education sector in his constituency by constructing many Class room blocks across LEA Primary Schools, built Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC outpost in some Districts, Primary Health Care, water projects, cash and skills empowerment of constituents as well as scholarship among others.
The official launch of his new political party, the Labour Party in Langtang North and South which is scheduled for July first, 2022 is going to feature commissioning of another School intervention project and distribution of school materials by the member.
It could be recalled that Hon. Nanbol Listick re-contested his current seat under his former party PDP but the primary election ended in a tie between him and his opponent and a new date was fixed for rerun primary but he opted out of the rerun and resigned from the party.
