A philanthropist, Chief Pamson Dagyat has appealed to Government to extend water pipes to various streets in the state to enable households to access it at ease.

Chief Dagyat who is the traditional title holder of “Mwadlok Bemat Kuu”, made the appeal at the commissioning of the phase C and D of pipeline water projects for Dankarang and Hwak communities which was done by him.

According to Chief Dagyat, the request for government assistance became imperative considering the fact that laying of the pipes is expensive. He noted that though the project is still work in progress, the phase C and D has reached a milestone of 1.5km of a targeted total of 3 kilometers.

He said if the government can assist the people in that area, they would have high level of water utilization in the society. He prayed that government would take water supply to another level by making sure it goes through various streets.

“That way, it would become easy for you to tap water if the distribution pipe is from the street. Imagine if communities are living like 1000 meters away from the main pipeline, they will spend almost 4 million to draw a 3 inches pipe to their community even if an individual uses a three quarter or an inches pipe it would cost about a million, which not every body can afford to do.

” It would be good for government to assist to get that done.” He said.
