
The COCIN President, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo has called on the Plateau State traditional Council to work in unity, and in harmony with the government to confront the security challenges in the State.
He made the called yesterday at the palace of the Ata Aten of Ganwuri during a condolence visit to the traditional ruler over the demise one of their prominent son, late Engr. Sunday Hyat, who has since been buried.
“We encouraged the Plateau State Traditional Council to work in unity, to stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and to be a force for good in a state grappling with the complexities of security and development.” Rev. Dr. Mohzo said.
According to him, installing traditional rulers in every tribe on the Plateau is a crucial step toward bridging divides and fostering unity. And only through such collaborative efforts can the State hope to build a future of peace, prosperity and harmony for all.
While condoling with the Ata Aten and the people of Ganawuri over the demise of late Engr. Sunday Hyat, the COCIN President apologized for his inability to attend the funeral service due to ill health. He described the deceased as a pillar, a beacon of hope and a servant of God who has served in various capacities.

“His faith and actions touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love, service and unwavering devotion.
“But his service extended beyond the realm of politics. He was a pillar in the church and dedicated his life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ in countless capacities” He added
The COCIN President also used the opportunity to commend the paramount ruler in Riyom LGA for his dedication to peace and unity within his domain which comprised of people of different faith and urged him to keep it up. He also appreciated him for his immense contribution to the Church.
While responding the Ata Aten, Da Yakubu Chaimang welcomed the COCIN President and his entourage to Ganawuri and to his Palace. He thanked him for the show of love in coming to comfort them over the lost of their son.
The traditional ruler recalled with pain how the deceased discharged his responsibility as GOSA President very well to the dismay of some people who thought he couldn’t due to the numerous responsibilities he had. He said late Engr. Hyat sacrificed a lot for the sake of Ganawuri people and that his death was a great lost to Ganawuri and COCIN as a Church.

Also in the palace to received the COCIN President were, Ata Yakubu Chai, Ata Gura and Ata Ryak Jong, Ata Kwakwi.
Meanwhile the COCIN President was accompanied by the COCIN Deputy General Secretary, Rev. Dinfa Mamshal, Chairman PCC Kuru, Rev. Joshua Mandyal, Directors of Personnel Rev. Ishaku Afan, Church Growth, Rev. James Ayizeh, Missions, Rev. John Dayuru, the Chairman RCC Ganawuri, Rev. Andrew Moriya and the Protocol Officer, Rev. Mikang Gukam.
