Nasarawa Civil Servants tasked on Quality Service Delivery

Civil Servants in Nasarawa State have been tasked to take their work serious to deliver utmost result in service to the state.

Munira Abdullahi, the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning stated this during a brief ceremony organized in honour of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Emmanuel Mamman Alidzi, at the conference hall of the Ministry’s headquarters in Lafia.

Emmanuel Alidzi bowed out, after he successfully completed 35 years in service of the state government.

The Finance Commissioner, who congratulated the retired Permanent Secretary for the services rendered to the state, thanked him for demonstrating capacity and competency in discharging his duties.

“The Permanent Secretary while serving the state, did his work diligently without fear or favour. We had course to agree and disagree over times on some issues, because I have a different opinion and he has his own opinion, but he will stand his ground on what he knows and what he understands and I will do the same.

“So, I find it very necessary to applaud somebody that has demonstrated great capacity and competency in the execution of his work.

“And this is the type of capacity that I expect to see us perform in the ministry. If most of us can be like him (the retired Permanent Secretary Alidzi), then the ministry will be better for the good of all.

While commending him for stepping down knowledge to those behind, Munira urged him to live his door open, saying he would be called upon when his services would be needed.

Emmanuel Alidzi, the Permanent Secretary, expressed gratitude to God for granting him sound health at retirement, and prayed God to accord those in service such privileges to retire successfully.

Alidzi also thanked staff of the ministry for the support while in service, and called on them to accord same cooperation to the covering Permanent Secretary to enable him succeed.

Highlights of the event was the handover notes to the Director of Administration and Supply, Abdul-Rahman Umar Ose, as well as cutting of retirement cake in honour of the retiree.
