You are a Bridge Builder, Plateau Speaker Eulogies Sen. Dariye

Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Yakubu Sanda has described the former Governor of the State, Senator Joshua Dariye as an epitome of humility and a bridge builder on the Plateau.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Sabastine Hommuk, said the speaker was speaking when he led members of the State Assembly on a solidarity visit to the Maitama residence of Joshua Dariye, as a mark of respect, honour and appreciation to God for his release.

The Speaker noted that, as representatives of the people, they came to express the joy and prayers of their constituents over the released of the elder statesman, who has contributed to the peace, unity and development of the state.

The statement added that Dariye who was emotional, expressed joy over the visit of members of the state Legislature, said the visit has further strengthened him, particularly the unity and brotherly love among the members.

He admonished them to keep aside their political differences and work for the peace, unity and development of the state, adding that his stay in the prison over the years has giving him an insight in the other side of life.

He used the forum to appreciate the good people of Plateau and well meaning Nigerians for their support and prayers, which eventually led to his release and promised to offer his wealth of experience and advise when ever he is called upon.

The Speaker also led the delegation of the house members to the Wuse II residence of Deme Pauline Tallen to commiserate with her over her ill health and also for the demise of her elder brother.

The Speaker noted that, they came to identify with the Minister of Women Affairs, Deme Pauline Tallen in her moments of need, and thank God that She is fast recuperating.

Deme Pauline Talent who was flanked by the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Deme Nora Dadu’ut, appreciated the delegation for the visit, saying, she feels humble and honoured.

The rounds of the visits also took the house delegation to the Maitama residence of the Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase, to Commiserate with him over the demised of his sister.

Sanda, prayed God to grant the Soul of the departed Peace and urged the family to accept the death as the Will of God.

In the words of the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives. Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, “the visit is indeed reassuring and comforting.”

He encouraged the members to work as a team for the benefit of their Constituents and development of Plateau, as no individual or group interest is greater than, that of the State.
