The appellate court, in a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of Justices, voided the verdict of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which sacked governor Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“This is because the earlier judgement by election petition tribunal was a miscarriage of justice and biased, the victory at the appeal court validated people’s mandate given to Sule on March 18 governorship election.

“The peaceful atmosphere witnessed in the state today signifies that the masses are happy with the Appeal Court Judgement,” he said.

Comrade Matthew who is also an APC stalwart and a former Chairman of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the state, said the progressive family and supporters were optimistic of another round of victory at the Supreme Court if the opposition party, PDP heads to Supreme Court.

The MBYF Scribe, however, urged gov Sule to extend hand of fellowship to PDP to join him to move the state forward as he settles for governance.

“As he settles for governance to deliver dividend of democracy, the governor should sustain carrying everybody along irrespective of political, religions and tribals affiliations as he is known for.

“And PDP should understand that leadership comes from God, they should accept the defeat and the judgement in good faith and support the administration of Gov Sule to move the state forward on the part of development and progress.(NAN)
