Plateau Deputy Speaker Assures Youths of Better Days Ahead

The newly elected Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State 10th Assembly, Fom Gwattson has assured Plateau youths of better days ahead.

The member was speaking at a reception in his honor, shortly after the 10th Assembly inauguration and his election as Deputy Speaker at Kuru in Jos South local government area of the state.

Gwattson who is the member representing Jos South Constituency and a second time member under People’s Democratic Party PDP, said he will do everything possible to emancipate the youths.

“What I intend to do is that I will make sure that every opportunity I have, I will do whatever policy that will have direct positive effects on the youths, not giving them stipend but will do everything humanly possible to emancipate the youths” he emphasized 

He appreciated his colleagues for choosing him, trusting God that he will not disappoint them.

He noted that they will ensure unity in the house irrespective of party difference, assuring his colleagues that he will bring equity, justice, fairness, truth, sincerity and everything that is good for the entire state in the next 4 years.

“I know that the responsibility is enormous, but I trust the Lord to see me through” he said.

Fom Gwattson, popularly call “Banga” was elected Deputy Speaker of the 10th Plateau State House of Assembly and was administered the oath of office and allegiance by the clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Ponven Wuyep today.
