The ruling All Progressives Congress,APC, the opposition,Labour Party, LP and People’s Democratic Party, PDP have all expressed confidence of winning the ongoing Presidential election at the end of the day.
The national elections is ongoing smoothly with massive turnout across most of the polling units visited in Mangu, Pankshin, Mikang and Shendam LGAs of Plateau State.
Governor Simon Lalong who is the Senatorial Candidate for Plateau South District and the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council while casting his vote at polling unit 015, Nyak ward, expressed confidence that his party, APC will emerge victorious at the end of the day.
He thanked the electorates for coming out en-mass to vote and also appreciated the peaceful conduct of the process.
The Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate in Plateau State, Dr. Patrick Dakum on behalf of his party is optimistic that his party, LP will carry the day.
Speaking at his residence shortly before casting his vote, Dr. Dakum noted that Electorates have shown love for the party and are waiting for the opportunity to expressed their love through the ballot.
Also speaking, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang said his party has plan to win, assuring that they will sing victory song after the poll.
Most of the electorates are seen patiently waiting in the queue despite the scorching sun to cast their votes. Soft drinks, water and fast food sellers are seen making good sales at most of the polling units.
So far, at of the time of filling this report, the atmosphere is peaceful as the election is ongoing smoothly under tight security at the polling units and some strategic places.
