The Breeze-FM Chapel Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Muhammad Iliyasu Garba has led members of the chapel on a courtesy visit to the Chairman/CEO of the station, Dr. Nawani Aboki, who was nominated as a Commissioner by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state.
Speaking during the solidarity visit Garba, said they visited his residence to congratulate him on his appointment to serve in the state cabinet.
Garba encouraged Dr. Aboki and other commissioner nominees to consolidate on the giant strides of the Sule administration by providing good governance and ensuring effective service delivery at the grassroots across the state.
He described Dr. Aboki’s appointment as timely and well deserved, citing his track record in promoting peace and unity in Nasarawa State.
The NUJ Breeze FM Chapel chairman urged the nominee to carry everyone along in the discharge of his responsibilities, stressing the importance of inclusiveness and collective participation in governance.
He expressed optimism that Dr. Aboki would add value to the Sule administration, considering his experience in leadership, politics and mentorship, particularly in the lives of young people in Nasarawa State.
Garba assured Dr. Aboki that members of the NUJ would support him in his new assignment, adding that the Breeze FM Chapel of the NUJ was proud of his appointment.
Also speaking, a former Head of the Civil Service, Mr. Nicholas Abari Aboki, encouraged Breeze FM staff to maintain good conduct wherever they found themselves, saying their behaviour should reflect positively on the reputation of their organisation and leadership.

Responding, the Chief Executive Officer of Breeze FM and Commissioner nominee, Dr. Nawani Aboki, appreciated the chapel for the solidarity visit and congratulated members for identifying with him at such a significant moment.
He pledged to do his best to work with the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council, and the Breeze FM Chapel to promote the welfare and interests of journalists in the state.
Dr. Aboki said his appointment should be seen as an achievement for the entire Breeze FM family, assuring that he would remain committed to the collective interest of the organisation.
In another development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency in the 2027 election, Ibrahim Araf, was among dignitaries who visited the commissioner nominee to congratulate him on his appointment.
Also present were the member representing Rukubi Ward in the Ekye Administrative Council, Josiah Ozotu, and a former Deputy Personnel Manager (DPM), Mr. Terry Adagowoso, among others.
Commenting on the visit, Commissioner nominee Dr. Nawani Aboki appreciated the visitors for coming to celebrate with him.
He promised that he would not disappoint Governor Abdullahi Sule or the people of Nasarawa State, assuring them of his commitment to serving the state diligently.
