A Chinese Mining Company based in village in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has distributed food items to residents of the area to celebrate the Eidel Kabir
During the disbursement of the items in Endo Community Square, the Manager of the company Mr Richard Jiang said the intervention was to support households to celebrate the Eidel Kabir with ease.
He stated that the firm will continue to discharge its corporate social responsibilities to improve livelihoods and enhance cohesion and mutual working benefits.
Mr Jiang urged traditional rulers and community leaders to focus on strengthening cordial working relationship among the people saying the company believed that success in mining should also translate into improving the welfare of host communities.

He noted that Sallah is a period of celebration that reflects love, oneness and good neighbourliness in line with teaching of the Holy Qur’an.
Also speaking, the paramount traditional ruler of the area, the Osu Ajiri Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed-Eko commended the company for the gesture and its contributions to community development.
Ahmed-Eko said the company had also constructed a town hall and clinic for the community.
He, however, urged the firm to sustain the support, noting that mining activities had affected farming activities in the area.

In his remarks, Alh. Ibrahim Jibril, the Emir of Nasarawa and Chairman, Nasarawa Local Government Council of Chief, also lauded the company for employing more than 2,000 indigenous people.
Jibril said that the community expected the company to invest more in training and scholarship opportunities for youths in mining-related professions.
The items distributed included 500 bags of rice, 300 cartons of vegetable oil, 20 cows and 30 rams. (Radio Nigeria)
