… Says there’s no Nigeria Inter-Faith Alliance

Christian Youth Assembly of Nigeria through its spokesman, Dr. John Yusufu has called on Nigerians to boycott the mother of all endorsement billed for Tuesday.
The mother of all endorsement is said to be organized by Nigeria Inter-Faith Alliance, NIFA led by Archbishop Prof Leonard Bature Kawas billed for Tuesday 13th December, 2022.
The group affirmed that the organisers of the endorsement are out, not only to cause confusion but a repeat of 2015, where the Bishop collected so much money from a presidential candidate who lost. They called on Nigerians to shine their eyes, adding that there is noting like NIFA in Nigeria.
Also, the Secretary of the group, Rev. Peter Musa, insisted that they have never heard of NIFA. “We are aware of orchestrated plans of Kawas and cohorts to subtly use this electioneering period as a means of self-empower and we maintain our stand against it.
“Rev Kawas has no right to organize any endorsement on any Nigerian looking back at what he did in 2015 election.
“We are aware Kawas issued matching order to members of his church including Sunday school pupils to turn up for his programme not Christian or Muslim Clerics.
The former National President of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) Engr. Daniel Kadzai also lamented on what he described as the hypocrisy of some Christian Leaders saying, “instead of endorsing Peter Obi, Kawas as a clergy should advice Peter Obi to call his south eastern kinsmen to embrace peace in order to end the persistent killings.
He said only the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, which is the country’s largest Christian body and Jama’atu Nasril Islam ,JNI or their arms have the legitimate right to organize such an event at this crucial time that Nigeria need leaders of prudent integrity.
Kawas claimed that over 3,000 Christian and Muslim Clerics from all 36 States of Nigeria and FCT under the platform Of Nigeria Inter-Faith Alliance (NIFA) will be holding a rally to endorse Mr. Peter Obi and Dr Ahmed Datti on December 13, 2022 in Jikwoyi Abuja in what is believed to be the mother of all endorsements so far.
According to Archbishop Prof Leonard Bature Kawas who is the National Coordinator of the inter-faith group and the visioneer as well as the Chief Host of the event, “even Nigerians from diaspora are going to grace the occasion in addition to highly respected Islamic Sheikhs across Nigeria like Sheikh Mahmoud Murtadam, Sheikh Alhassan Useni and Sheikh Mohammad Musa who are part of the co-hosts and are mobilizing other Islamic clerics for the Inter-faith Alliance Rally.
